After another defeat on Sunday at Villa Park, Rob Edwards and his team looks towards a midweek game against Nottingham Forest under the lights at Molineux.

Wolves had plenty of postives from their performance on the weekend against Aston Villa and will want to improve on that in tonights fixture against Forest.

Rob Edwards took charge for the game against Crystal Palace just under two weeks ago. There has been improvements in the player’s performance on the pitch even though the results don’t show this.

The performance on Sunday against Villa Park was one of the best displays so far for Wolves. The woodwork, Villa’s goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and the offside flag denied Wolves’ chances of getting points on the board.

It was a tough defeat for Wolves, but they’re hoping to get their first Premier League win of the season soon. They have back to back fixtures at Molineux where they play Nottingham Forest midweek and Manchester United on SkySports Monday Night Football.

They face a Forest side who suffered a 2-0 defeat on home turf against Brighton so will look to the fixture against Wolves to bounce back. Forest sit 16th in the league table.

Forest had two back to back Premier League wins before their loss against Brighton. They also saw victory in the Europa League where they beat Malmö FF with three goals.

Injury Updates:

Rob Edwards spoke about injuries on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the fixture against Forest.

Toti and Joao Gomes have no lasting effects from knocks after the game at Villa park so are fit to play this evening. Ladislav Krejci is now back on grass training but not with the group so won’t be available but should be soon.

Matt Doherty trained with the group again but is unlikely to start and will be assessed. And Rodrigo Gomes continues to recover from his groin surgery so won’t be available for this fixture.

Sean Dyche has a double injury boost with Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White due to be available for tonight’s game against Wolves.

Murillo, the Brazillian centre-back missed out on Forest’s last game due to injury and flu but is expected to travel to Molineux. Gibbs-White missed the game in the Europa League and was subbed off in the defeat against Brighton due to a knock but that shouldn’t keep him out this evening.

Players such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood and Douglas Luiz have long term issues so won’t be available for Sean Dyche’s side against Wolves. Dilane Bakwa and Oleksandr Zinchenko have returned to training but the fixture is too soon for them to be back in the squad.
