Despite the postive and improved performance by Rob Edward’s side, they saw another defeat at Villa Park. Wolves were unable to take their chances but a magical strike from Villa midfielder Kamara sealed the deal for Aston Villa.
Wolves remain at the bottom of the Premier League table with just two points on the board. Rob Edward’s side showed fight throughout the game.
Wolves had their most competitive first half display at Villa Park, if the ball went their way Rob Edwards’ side could’ve had an extended lead but couldn’t capitalise their chances.
It was an intense atmosphere at Villa Park for a local rivaly. Villa started off strong, in the opening 15 minutes a cross came in by Lucas Digne and it was headed onto the crossbar by Pau Torres.
As the game went on, Wolves grew into the game as they searched for their first win of the season. Strand Larsen thought he put them infront but the goal was disallowed by the offside flag and was checked by VAR.
The goal was reviewed and it judged that Jhon Arias was in an offside position and disrupted the goalkeepers vision.

Villa was frustrated as they couldn’t break down Wolves’ defence and had to take shots from distance by Youri Tielemans but none concerned Sam Johnstone.
It was all level at the break as Villa and Wolves lacked the finishing touches in their attack. There was plenty of postives from both sides but no one could make the breakthrough.
Half Time: 0-0
The second half began and Wolves came out strong. A break from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde who drove into the Villa half and crossed the ball to Strand Larsen who couldn’t get to the ball, he was denied by the defender.
Moments later, Bellegarde had another opportunity to put Wolves infront who hit the ball on the volley on target but the villa goalkeeper Martinez stopped the ball from nestling into the bottom corner.
Wolves continued to frustrate Villa by being physical and strong. But in the 67th minute Villa broke the deadlock and scored. Just outside Wolves’s penalty area Boubacar Kamara picked up the ball and struck the ball into the top corner, leaving Johnstone with no chance of saving that effort.
Edwards’ side kept pushing to get an equaliser, he bought on Tolu Aokodare, Tawana Chirewa and Mateus Mane in hopes they’d make an impact but it wasn’t meant to be for Wolves.

Aston Villa took all three points and sit fourth in the Premier League table who face Brighton Hove & Albion who sit just under them with just a two point gap.
Wolves remain on the bottom of the table and face Nottingham Forrest at Molineux on Wednesday night in which they hope to take the postives out of their recent performance.
