A magnificent show filled with many activists, actresses and singers brought the local community together to raise awareness around looking after the planet to create a better future over the weekend.
The London Climate Change Festival was founded in 2019 by multi-Olivier award-winning actress Janie Dee and has since created many Beautiful World concerts across the country. Its goals to use ‘art, science, and bold thinking to confront the climate crisis with creativity and hope.’
Covid 19 restrictions led to many delays in its start however it has since expanded into many beautiful world cabarets and concerts which travel.
The specifics for choosing Holy Trinity Church in Stratford Upon Avon for this concert were due to its links with William Shakespeare.
Shakespeare was the inspiration to make all this happen. His monologue for Titania– the more I spoke the words the more I realised even four hundred years ago he was saying, stop trying to have more.
The concert saw the faces of Wayne sleep OBE, Three’s company, the Mazaika Duo and many more famous faces who all came together to advocate and help Janie Dee on her commitment to help the world face up and change to help the future be cleaner and healthier.
With a focus on climate change, saving water, saving the trees, and protecting wildlife the two-hour show involved many talks, acts, and songs involving the audience in a fun way to promote understanding surrounding these issues.
